Since being at Inspire Recovery, a trans-affirming treatment center, I have grown much closer to the LGBTQ+ community. I’ve also developed a sense of pride surrounding my transgender identity. This is due to the extremely affirming staff and the open communication between my peers, group facilitators, and my therapist.

Medical Staff Well-Versed in HRT
Inspire has a very knowledgeable medical staff. The doctors have helped me get on the right medications to remain stable and present in my own life. The medical staff is also versed in Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for transgender individuals.
Being on the hormones that match my gender identity has lessened my gender dysphoria and allows me to put all of my energy into my recovery. My caseworker at Inspire Recovery, as a true trans affirming treatment center is currently helping me through the process of gender-affirming surgeries. Doing surgery while at Inspire is my ideal situation because I am surrounded by an LGBT+ sober support network.
