You Are Not Alone

Sobriety is easier when you’re surrounded by people who get it.

Recovery doesn’t end at discharge, and it isn’t something you do in isolation. The LGBTQ+ community has built its own recovery spaces, peer networks, and support structures — places where you don’t have to explain your identity before you can talk about your sobriety. The resources below are places that understand both.

Recovery Meetings & Peer Support

Finding your people in recovery

Twelve-step and peer-support meetings are available throughout Palm Beach County and the wider South Florida area. Many are LGBTQ-welcoming and open to anyone.

AA — North Palm Beach Intergroup

Alcoholics Anonymous meetings throughout Palm Beach County, including LGBTQ-welcoming groups. Find a meeting that fits your schedule and your neighborhood.

Narcotics Anonymous meetings across the county for people in all stages of recovery from drug addiction.

ACA — Adult Children of Alcoholics

Meetings and resources for people who grew up in homes affected by addiction or dysfunction. A different kind of recovery work, and an important one for many LGBTQ+ people.
