Paying for Treatment

An insurance gap doesn't have to be the end of the conversation.

Financial concerns are one of the most common reasons people delay getting help. The admissions team can talk through your situation honestly — at no cost and with no obligation to commit.

Partial Coverage

Having insurance and still facing a cost gap is more common than you think.

Coverage doesn't always mean covered in full. Deductibles, coinsurance, and out-of-network rates can leave a real gap between what insurance pays and what treatment costs. That gap may be smaller than it looks — and there may be options the admissions team can help you think through.

High Deductibles and Out-of-Pocket Costs

Even when insurance covers treatment, you may be responsible for a deductible or coinsurance before coverage applies. The admissions team can review your specific verification results with you and help you understand the actual numbers — not estimates.

Out-of-Network Gaps

If Inspire Recovery is out of your carrier's network, your plan may still pay a portion of treatment through out-of-network benefits. How much depends on your specific plan. The admissions team can help you read your verification results and understand what applies.

If you've already verified your coverage and the numbers felt discouraging — it's worth one more conversation before walking away.

No Insurance

Self-pay is an option. The admissions team can tell you what it looks like.

Not having insurance doesn't close the door. Self-pay is available for clients whose insurance doesn't cover treatment or who prefer to pay privately. Rates vary by program and level of care.

Some clients also combine partial insurance benefits with another arrangement. The admissions team can explain what that has looked like for other clients and what might apply to your situation — without any obligation to move forward.

Financial Assistance

Scholarship assistance may be available for those who need it.

People who are underinsured or underfunded may be able to qualify for scholarship assistance. Whether any assistance is currently available, and what the next step would be, is something the admissions team can discuss with you directly. There is no cost or pressure to asking.

Transpire Help

A separate nonprofit dedicated to making affirming care accessible.

Transpire Help is an independent nonprofit organization — not part of Inspire Recovery — with a mission to connect LGBTQ+ individuals and their families with affirming mental health and addiction resources, including financial assistance programs for those who need them.

If cost is a barrier to getting treatment, Transpire Help may be able to help. What's available depends on individual circumstances. Their website has more information, and Inspire Recovery's admissions team can also help connect you with the right resources.
