Admissions
The hardest part is making the call. We'll help with everything after that.
If you've found your way to this page, some part of you is already considering it. You don't need the right words, a plan, or all the answers — you just need to start a conversation, and we'll walk the rest of it with you, at whatever pace you can manage.
What Happens When You Reach Out
When you reach out, a real person answers — and mostly, they listen.
There's no script to get through and no test to pass. The first conversation is just that: a conversation. You can share as much or as little as you're ready to. We'll ask a few gentle questions to understand where you are, answer whatever you want to know, and help you figure out what a next step might look like. No pressure, no hard sell, no judgment. And if you're not ready to decide anything, that's completely okay — you can call just to ask.
No Threshold
You don't have to be sure. You don't have to be "bad enough."
A lot of people talk themselves out of asking for help because they're not sure they qualify — not sick enough, not far enough gone, not even certain they want to stop. You don't have to have hit some bottom to deserve support, and you don't have to be certain about anything to make a call. Wanting things to be different is reason enough. Wherever you are on the spectrum of ready, you're welcome here.
Insurance Verification
Find out if your insurance covers treatment.
Most major insurance plans cover addiction treatment — including residential, PHP, and IOP. Our admissions team will verify your benefits and explain exactly what's covered before you commit to anything.

Insurance & Cost
Money shouldn't decide whether you get help.
Cost is one of the first fears, and one of the biggest. You don't need it figured out before you call — a short conversation is usually enough for us to help you understand your coverage and your options. We'll check your insurance with you, and we'll be straight with you about what we find.
PPO Plans
PPO plans offer the broadest flexibility and typically provide the most coverage, including out-of-network benefits. If you have a PPO, you can often choose any licensed facility regardless of network status.
HMO Plans
HMO plans stay within their network and may require a referral. Our admissions team can help navigate prior authorization and confirm what your plan covers before you make any decisions.
Out-of-Network
Even if Inspire Recovery is out of your network, many plans include out-of-network benefits that cover a significant portion of treatment. This is always worth checking — many clients are surprised.
Financial Options
If cost is holding you back.
Concern about cost is one of the most common reasons people delay getting help. We want to make sure money is never the thing standing between you and treatment. There are options — and we'll help you find them.
Scholarships
Inspire Recovery offers a limited number of need-based scholarships for clients who demonstrate financial hardship. These are considered on a case-by-case basis. The best way to find out if you qualify is to ask — there is no penalty for asking.

This program was built for you.
Inspire Recovery is not an LGBTQ-friendly facility that has made accommodations. We were built from the ground up to serve the LGBTQ community — and there is a meaningful difference.
One of the First LGBTQ-Focused Centers in the Country
Inspire Recovery was founded with a specific mission: create a treatment program where LGBTQ people could heal in an environment that truly understood their experience.
LGBTQ-Competent Staff — Many LGBTQ Themselves
Our clinical team is trained in LGBTQ cultural competency, and many of our staff are LGBTQ. You will not need to educate anyone here about who you are.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
We treat addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions — depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD — together in the same program. Treating one without the other rarely holds.
DCF Licensed & Joint Commission Accredited
Full state licensure and national accreditation — the highest standard in addiction treatment. You are in clinically rigorous, accountable care.
A Complete Treatment Experience
Art therapy, yoga, tai chi, wellness groups, and a life skills program designed to prepare clients for independent living after treatment.
Training the Field
Our outreach team has provided free LGBTQ Cultural Awareness Within Substance Treatment training to hundreds of clinicians across the country.
Your Privacy
You decide who knows. Not us, and not anyone else.
Reaching out for help is private, and it stays that way. What you share is confidential, and you're in control of who in your life knows anything at all. Being careful about that is not something you have to explain or apologize for. If part of what's holding you back is the fear that someone will find out, that's a fair fear — and one we take seriously.
For LGBTQ clients specifically: your sexual orientation, gender identity, and all details of your treatment are confidential from family members unless you explicitly authorize disclosure. If you are not out to your family, that does not change while you are here. You control what is shared and with whom — including your name on any correspondence.
For Family & Partners
Maybe the person who needs help isn't you.
If you're the one making the call for a partner, a child, a friend — you can. You don't have to have convinced them yet, and you don't need the perfect approach worked out first. Reach out, and we'll help you think through what you can do next.
Family therapy is a part of our treatment program. We also offer resources for co-dependence, healthy boundaries, and family recovery — because the people around someone in treatment need support too.

What to Expect
Here's what happens next.
It's simpler than the fear makes it seem.
You reach out. A real person listens, with no pressure to commit.
Same dayWe verify your insurance. We contact your carrier, confirm your benefits, and explain your coverage — before you decide anything.
Within 1 business dayA brief clinical conversation. Just enough to understand where you are and what level of care would help most.
30–45 minutesYour admission date is confirmed. We walk you through what to bring, what to expect, and how to get here.
Typically 48–72 hours from first contactYou arrive. We take it from there — gently.
I was terrified to make the call. I thought I wouldn't be able to afford it, that it would be complicated, that no one would understand me as a trans person. The admissions team took care of everything. I was in treatment within the week.

Common Questions
Questions about admissions.
We regularly admit clients from across the country. Our admissions team can help coordinate travel, verify out-of-state insurance benefits, and ensure a smooth transition to care.
It depends on your situation. Some clients begin residential treatment directly; others require medical detox first. Our clinical team assesses this during your intake and can help arrange safe detox if needed.
Treatment length depends on clinical need and insurance coverage. Residential programs typically run 28–90 days. PHP and IOP are shorter-term and offered as step-down levels of care after residential.
Prior treatment history does not affect your eligibility. Many of our clients have attempted recovery before. An LGBTQ-specific, dual diagnosis program is often a meaningful difference from what people have experienced elsewhere.
Yes. Inspire Recovery is a dual diagnosis facility. We treat addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions — depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma — together in the same program.
Your identity is not treated as something to be addressed or explained. Correct pronouns are used without prompting. Group therapy includes topics specific to LGBTQ experiences — minority stress, identity, chemsex, family rejection. Many staff are LGBTQ themselves.
Insurance denials can often be appealed. Our admissions team is experienced in the appeals process. If your initial claim is denied, we'll work with you to understand your options — including the appeal, alternative coverage, and financial assistance.
Residential treatment means you live at the facility full-time. PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) is intensive daily treatment without overnight stays. IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) involves multiple therapy sessions per week alongside daily life. Clients often step down through these levels as they progress in recovery.
You're Welcome Here
Whenever you're ready — even if "ready" just means curious — we're here.
You can call, or leave your details and we'll reach out to you. Tell us as little as you like to start. A real person will get back to you, there's no pressure, and there's nothing to be embarrassed about. This is the first step, and it's a smaller one than it feels like from here.
Not ready today? That's completely okay. You can look around the Recovery Library at your own pace — no phone call, no form, no commitment. It'll be there whenever you want it.
